Over the past few weeks I've been thinking of getting rid of my landline: I don't use it that often, the call quality SUCKS (it's a VOIP line) and it seems silly to have two phone lines when i live alone.
I don't know why this freaks me out though...

It freaks you out because you saw the seminal action film "Live Free or Die Hard", and you don't want to be one of those tools looking glumly at your cell phone when the satellites are all taken offline by terrorists.
